Middle School Honor Choirs
2025-2026 Middle School Honor Choir Opportunities
- Throughout the school year, there are many opportunities for singers to audition and perform for an Honor Choir. While performing in our school choir is a great experience, performing with an Honor Choir is a really great experience. Often these choirs are much larger than our school choir, have a select group of singers and are led by a renowned conductor. In most cases, the choir rehearses for two or three days, and then features a culminating concert.
- Participation in any of these choirs is an honor and come with expectations. If a singer wishes to audition, they must accept the amount of time and effort required. Students are expected to practice their music and have it learned before attending rehearsals. Students are expected to attend all rehearsals and follow the specific rules and guidelines outlined for each event.
- These honor choir opportunities also come with a financial responsibility including the audition fee, participation fee and in some cases, travel, meals and lodging.
- The HBW Music Scholarship Fund is available to support any student who wishes to audition or participate in the Senior Honor Choir, All-District and All-VA Chorus. Due to the expensive cost, we are unable to provide financial support for the ACDA Honor Choirs. If you wish to make use of scholarship support, please speak to Bill.
