H-B Woodlawn’s Initiative for Volunteerism and Engagement
What is it?
An umbrella organization for community service and engagement opportunities.
Why do we need it?
to fulfill H-B’s pillar of ‘Caring Community’;
to facilitate interaction with our Arlington community;
to connect across grades within our own community.
Important roles of HIVE:
INCLUDES students in grades 6-12 regardless of GPA.
ORGANIZES and PUBLICIZES volunteer opportunities and whole school community activities
EMPOWERS students to lead school and community projects.
PRIORITIZES community engagement as a continual part of the H-B experience!
Spork Talks is an initiative of HIVE, bringing you different thinkers to keep you connected.
It’s a spork (HBW’s mascot). It’s a talk (what we like to do). It’s a spork talk.
