Additional information:

• I need accessible parking. Where do I park?
  • There are designated accessible parking spots in the parking garages and on Wilson Boulevard.  The building can be accessed through the HBW Main Office entrance during school hours and evening events, and through the Red Garage school entrance during select evening events.

• I am coming to drop off my student’s lunch and need to park for 10 minutes. Where do I park?
  • Parking spots on Wilson Boulevard, directly in front of the school, are available and designated for short-term parking.

• I am dropping my student off after a dentist’s appointment in mid-morning. Where do I drop them off?
  • Parking spots on Wilson Boulevard, directly in front of the school, are available and designated for short-term parking.

• I am coming to the building for a meeting with a teacher. Where do I park?
  • Park in the Blue Garage located at 1788 N Pierce St. (under Cortland Rosslyn). Take a ticket from the machine at the entrance and bring it with you into the building. Enter the school at the HBW Main Office entrance. Office staff will be able to direct you on parking validation procedures. Parking is free with a validated ticket.

• I am coming to the building as an official visitor, substitute teacher, or volunteer. Where do I park?
  • Park in the Blue Garage located at 1788 N Pierce St. (under Cortland Rosslyn). Take a ticket from the machine at the entrance and bring it with you into the building. Enter the school at the East entrance, which is where H-B’s main office is located. Office staff will be able to direct you on parking validation procedures. Parking is free with a validated ticket.

• I am attending an event at the building after school hours. Where do I park?
  • Park in the Blue Garage located at 1788 N Pierce Street (under Cortland Rosslyn) or the Red Garage located off of N. 18th Street (under the Height Building’s field behind the building). The Green Garage at 1776 Wilson Blvd (under Quinn’s) is for overflow parking during large events. Additionally, there is street parking in the area around the school, but you may be required to pay a fee.
    • If you park in the Blue or Green Garage,
      • Take a ticket from the machine at the entrance and bring it with you into the building.
      • Enter the school at the East entrance, which is where H-B’s main office is located.
      • Office staff will be able to direct you on parking validation procedures.
      • Parking is free with a validated ticket.
    • If you park in the Red Garage,
      • Parking is free without validation.

• Is the new building accessible by public transportation?
  • Why, yes! We are less than a half-mile from both the Rosslyn and Court House Metro stations, and there are multiple ART and Metro bus stops within one block of The Heights building. There are also Capital Bike Share docks nearby and bike racks outside the building.

• I am dropping my student off/picking them up from Arlington DPR basketball practice in the gym at The Heights. Where do I drop them off/pick them up?
  • There are spots directly in front of the school on Wilson Blvd designated for free short-term (15 min) parking.

• I am coming to attend an Arlington DPR basketball practice or game in the gym at The Heights and will be there for more than 15 minutes. Where do I park?
  • Street and garage parking is available nearby – please obey signs and follow procedures as stated by the garages and parking apps. On Sundays and weeknights after 8, street parking is free.
