H-B Woodlawn’s Initiative for Volunteerism and Engagement

What is it?  

An umbrella organization for community service and engagement opportunities.

Why do we need it?  

to fulfill H-B’s pillar of  ‘Caring Community’;

to facilitate interaction with our Arlington community;

to connect across grades within our own community.

Important roles of HIVE:

INCLUDES students in grades 6-12 regardless of GPA. We have Middle School HIVE that meets in Reina’s room and High School HIVE that meets in Jennifer’s room.

ORGANIZES and PUBLICIZES volunteer opportunities and whole school community activities

EMPOWERS students to lead school and community projects.

PRIORITIZES community engagement as a continual part of the H-B experience!
