Student Accounts – CutTime – SchoolCash Online

Music Student Accounts

Throughout the school year, music students may incur fees for the activities they participate in or items purchased, including concert uniforms, trip fees, or honor ensemble participation.  Payments of check (payable to H-B Woodlawn), cash or credit card are accepted.  To offset theses costs, the Music Dept. offers two optional fundraisers, the Citrus Fruit Sale and Winter Gifts N’ Things Sale, for students to earn monies towards their fees.  A student account is maintained for each music student to keep track of their fees, payments, fundraising profits and balance owed to the music department.  It is expected that each family pay their music student account balance by the end of the school year.  Any remaining balance is carried into the next school year.

CutTime

Our Music Student Account balances are maintained through an online system called CutTime, and industry leader in school music accounting.  At the start of each school year, parent and student information is imported from Synergy into CutTime.  Throughout the year, music teachers and our parent volunteer treasurers will update CutTime with each student’s fees, payments and fundraising profits.

There is no log-in required to access CutTime.  Rather, guardian(s) of each music student will receive a text message, which includes a link to see their student’s account financial summary.  CutTime will automatically send a text message to guardians on the 1st of each month if the student account has a remaining balance.

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to collect payments through CutTime.  Instead, you can make a payment by cash, check (payable to H-B Woodlawn) or by credit card on School Cash Online.

SchoolCash Online

As music students incur fees, it will be added to their SchoolCash Online account. New for 2024-25, we strongly encourage you to pay for music fees by credit card through SchoolCash Online.   If the amount owed on SCO is greater than what is reported on CutTime, you can make a partial payment for that fee.  For example, if the trip fee is $700, but the student has earned $100 in fundraising profits, you should make a $600 partial payment on that trip fee in SCO.  Any credit card payments paid in SCO will then be recorded in the student’s CutTime account.

Please note: SchoolCash Online is only a tool to collect credit card payments.  SCO will not reflect a student’s accurate music student account balance.  The financial summary reported in CutTime WILL be a student’s most accurate music student account financial summary.

Scholarship Support

The HBW Music Department & Parent Organization is committed to all students having equitable access to our program activities and trips, regardless of cost. Through our annual fundraising activities and the generosity of the music community, we have scholarship funds to share for those in financial need. If you wish to receive support from our Scholarship Fund for any activity or fee, please speak with a music teacher.
